School Profile and Staff

Our School

Caherelly National School is a seven teacher school situated in a rural setting. We are only a short distance from Limerick city and only 2 miles from Ballyneety village on the main Limerick/Kilmallock Road (R512).

The pupil population has increased steadily in recent years.
The school population spans the entire ability range.

Established in 1953 as a two teacher school we are now in the happy position of having newly renovated classrooms, a spacious p.e hall, a resource room and offices.

We have a newly revamped playground and we enjoy free access to greenfields adjoining school which we avail of weather permitting.

There is a strong sense of community spirit throughout the school.
We enjoy a very good relationship with local clubs and associations.
